So, these are some quite attractive wheels. I think they’ll fit the Escort, but I could use some help understanding what to look for in that... But also, I’m curious if these in particular are any good, and whether they’re worth the price.

Finally, if anyone is good with Photoshop....
(Those are 14” wheels on there right now, if you’re willing to try to scale them right for me too.)

You’ll get lots more grip and lower gas mileage. I’d be a bit worried about whether or not the wider tires will fit in the wheel-well, but other people would know better than I.

Buddy Clubs w/ good tires for $400? Thats a fairly sweet deal.

Be careful, those look like questionable knocks. Rays do NOT stamp their official wheels like “ENGDESIGNED by Japan.” In fact, those wheels are likely Primax type 767. Also take note that the 16” tire market is not a healthy one anymore if you want performance tires. That’s half the reason why I jumped ship and bought the 15s I have on the Miata.
That said, I know a guy in Columbia who’s selling a set of ‘97 Miata M-Edition 15” wheels for around 200$ .

Hmm, not bad... I can probably do better for cheaper, though.
My neighbor’s van, on the other hand...

Damn.... If only I was closer. The time and cost of picking those up wouldn’t really be worth it.
Plus I’d prefer the brushed aluminum look if I go for Miata wheels.

Have you thought about the TR branded wheels? They’re cheap, Tire Rack will mount rubber on it for you and balance them for free, and they’re pretty good.

Not really, but I suppose it’s worth looking into for sure.

Would you be interested in a set of Kosei K6Rs? They’re essentially Buddy Club wheels under another name. They’re on closeout discount on TireRack . 15x7, 12.3 pounds, 120$ a wheel.
Wrap them in some RS3s or some other performance tire and have fun on them.

I dunno. I’m on a pretty tight budget, but that is a pretty good deal.... I’ll look into ‘em for sure.

Just keep an eye on CL for 4x100 and Miata wheels. Usually you’ll find something once in a while. It’s how I scored mine for about 425$ with near-new tires and hub-centric rings.

Last plug but these might yield some results.
Near brand-new 15x6 Miata wheels for 250$ (offer him 225$ cash).
